A tireless titan!
"A man is more of a man for what he keeps to himself than for what he says", quotes , The late Albert Camus, a French philosopher, author, journalist, world federalist and political activist.
D Jayakumar must've been the only politician to have had enough, and kept moving forward without giving up. His relentless determination to stay calm in the toughest time, and holding the head high irrespective of the defeat and success are some of his trademark qualities.
And one more inspiring trait of him is that he never talks so high of himself, in spite of occupying some prominent portfolios and nevertheless being in the good books of Late Supremo Dr J Jayalalitha. In fact , even when someone tries to flatter him, he always chooses to downplay it with his characteristic mischievous grin. I can recall so many instances, wherein inspite of changing someone's life, he never took credit for it.
I remember when he was asked by a media person, as to why he maintains a low profile and being inconspicuous, regardless of you are designated to run the house as a speaker , He responded "My growth in the party was purely out of hardwork, determination, hunger to scale up and more than all because of Amma, and i knew that it was not the position and being pompous that matters at the end of the day, what it mattered to me was how i delivered my duties and how loyal i was to my constituency people and my party".
He further adds, "I never think myself as better than anyone else, rather i felt i was chosen for that particular role, only because i was at the right place, and at the right time and i owe all my accolades to the late Amma".
But what i am more curious of is his election campaign in Royapuram and the outcome- He is a wounded lion, so his silence is more dangerous than his roar, Folks!
