His large warm gestures, beguiling smile, light-hearted wits and twinkling small eyes set him apart from other politicians.
In spite of his busy schedule, he always finds time for his friends and well-wishers, and most importantly pays attention to, and ensure to take note of , if some of their suggestions are valuable and worth considering.
The sexagenerian politician is the most sought after man in the Royapuram constituency, for his affable and generous nature. In fact, some of the local people are of the credulous that it was only under his leadership, the constituency showed good progress in terms of development.
Proud to be referred as a loyalist of Late AIADMK Supremo J Jayalalitha, D Jayakumar daily schedule would make you flabbergasted. And remarkably he maintains a nice balance of time between his party and constituency works.
And my quest to unravel and discover the reason as to why he didn't make it to the house 6th time , made me to hit the road and drove straight to Rayarpuram.
It was on a sunny afternoon. And as usual the locality is bustling in heavy traffic with vehicles lining up one behind the other, and moving at a snail pace. It is quite obvious that my target of people are daily wages, road dwellers, people at fishermen settlement, and middle aged, whom I belive speak up their mind and heart without fear and trembling.
The objective is to unlearn what i have learnt about him, and discover things from a voter standpoint.
