How different cinema was during the lifetime of Papettan? There wasn't any violence,  item songs, double-barreled dialogues,  still kept all enthralled and engrossed. And his commitment towards documenting the emotions, culture and relationship in story telling takes precedence over other things.

If Peruvazhiambalam the last black and white  movie talks about coming about of adulosense, Parannu,  Parannu , Parannu and Thinkalaazhcha nalla divasam speaks high of family values, and its importance.

Still can't move on from the character's of Mesthiri Shivanpillai in Oridathoru Phayalvaan, and Appaappan Thampi in Moonam pakkam. His movies continue to keep his legacy alive.

Remember vividly,  when my father's friend Late veteran dubbing artist Harippad Soman, and legendary actor Prathapachandran Verma spoke high of padmarajan after his demise, as a small kid,  least knew his contribution to Malayalam cinema, rather world cinema. 

It is so unfortunate that the most talent director of the Indian cinema passed away too young at the pinnacle of his success. And all those who talks of cult movies , and making a sensible cinema should once revisit his movies.
