Blame it on the leadership!
What seemed easy as pie six months ago has now become beyond the bounds of possibility. And no one else but the top leadership hold liable for the party's hapless situation. Sadly, the misguided decision to join forces with BJP has demoralized the party cadres, booth workers, if not even a section of senior leaders.
No one was able to comprehended as to why Mr Eps had accepted Mr Amit Shah to declare the alliance, knowing of the repercussions. And if we revisit the AIADMK-BJP alliance past performance, nothing is convincing to approve the decision.
Till the day before they declared the tie-up, AIADMK ministers were resisting the moves of BJP on Delimitation, Waqf, 3 language imposition and spriling price rise. And i wonder how come in overnight they are able to form an unlikely alliance. Atleast are they not aware the price rise is pinching the common man pocket?
Ofcourse, there are no permanent friends, or foes in politics. But what about maintaing supremacy as the second largest party of the state, upholding dignity, self-respect and perpetuating ideologies, morals and legacy.
Aargh! Some of the senior leaders are not looking eye to eye at Mr Eps after the announcement of the undesirable alliance. And the way the BJP leaders being at the helm and calling shots on the Chief ministership is trivializing the leadership qualities of Mr Eps.
And now that Mr Vijay has also categorically stated that he is not willing to join hands with their ideological opponent. So, AIADMK is more likely to fall flat in the 2026 election, giving way for DMK to form the government yet again.
