But i choose to support simply for the reason he wanted to change the way we look at the politics, politican and the state. When he annouched the entry into politics, i was one among the many to have protested, raised concerns and differ even for his understanding of Cinema so limited to dance moves and fight. But no doubt he has his own share of fan base and a considerable women following which might turn as a vote in 2026.  Down the line we expect him to be accessible, in the public eyes, and on the ground otherwise there is no point in discussing all these heaven to earth thing. Mr MK Stalin has the maximum advantage in the 2026 election, considering the unpopular AIADMK-BJP alliance and Vijay's naivety and he should not be flinging it carelessly. And his number one priority is to keep a tab on the police force and law and order, for anymore incidents like Tirupuvanam cant save them even by God. Of course, Mr Vijay would damage the vote bank of both AIADMK and BJP. Otherwise they are doing just fine in taking their achievements and feats to each and every door step. Also gotta tread carefully with Mr Vijay, they cant allow someone like Mr Velmurugan to hurle an unpleasant attacks on him, which would gain him a sympathy votes  And next 8 months are more crucial for them than the last four years. Any unpopular moves, displeasure acts would result in turning the result upside down. And as a general public we are concerned about the wellbeing of both the dravidian parties. I guess he must have been the only politician to have lived his life to the fullest and with conviction. The firebrand politician has been the only defence minister ever to have unmasked the bad intentions of China and exposing them stock piling weapons in the border of Tibet, aimed at threating India. He never gave up his ideologies and views for anyone. Infact he was expressing his displeasure over the safety and security of India's nuclear plant, which i guess no other defense minister, atleast to my knowledge, ever did.  And the tehelka sting operation to unearth the defense deal and the corruption attached to it. And his acquittal by a  single man commission, though it was controversial, none of the People of India were able to be convinced that he might have had hands to it. Just on a lighter note: Quite envy of his car collection and particularly of that of Lexus LM 350H, such a stunning and elegant one. And from the political standpoint, i am astonished by the way he was vocal and dismissing the rumours of joining the NDA alliance. It is incredible to see it from a party which is contesting their maiden election. And what is so remarkable is to witness such a move in between a 50 year old party, not displaying such a daring courage and brawny. Fews of the areas which Mr Vijay might have to focus to exhibit his full bloom in politics, he has to point out the BJP lapses. I am getting an impression as though he was reading between the lines and not methodically taking on the BJP. Also he has an edge over AIADMK to harvest the Anti-DMK, as the people of Tamilnadu were ossified and without a choice have casted their vote to AIADMK all these while due to discontentment with DMK. - Sundaresan Thankappan 

It is absolutely clear without a shadow of a doubt that Mr Vijay has categorically dismissed the rumours of aligning with the BJP-AIADMK and displeased with such a bassless deets in the interest of protecting the state of Tamilnadu and minorities he has decided to contest alone. And any futher outreach from the AIADMK and BJP leaders would only display their low self-worth.  What was so wonderful of him is that he highlighted the favorism , biased and extreme thoughts of BJP bluntly. And while the innocent muslim civilians are fighting for their lives in the Modi government, and Mr Eps is remorselessly befriending and calling others to join them.   BJP has evil intentions, and it is quite understandle with their moves, and decided to exploit the vote banks of AIADMK to make inroads and execute their plans.  Unfortunately, Eps is in remiss and dismissive of all the charges by the think tankers and other political parties with regards to the alliance. As a citizen of the country, I value the struggle and contribution of the Dravidian parties in building the state. And as far as the BJP is concerned, they are struggling to set their foot in Tamil Nadu for their primitive ideas have no buyers in the state. If we take a look at their agenda, we can close our eye and tell their intentions. Be it ONOE, Hindi imposition, Irregularities in releasing state funds, Waqf through and through aimed at disregarding the popular perception and executing the RSS vision. It was because of not able to capitalise lapses of DMK, and playing flute to a party which is below the vote share of Naam Tamilar, AIADMK is heading to collision.  Friends, Romans and Countrymen, it is with cent percent conviction that we declare here that DMK is winning the election with an unprecedented majority. And it was purely based on the ground analysis and the comparison between the then Eps government, which killed the innocent civilians with the help of Modi Government  in Tuticorin, and the government killed the Ajit kumar in custody.  Many are of the opinion that DMK is far better than that of the AIADMK which merely took command from the demonic BJP and massacred the own people. In spite of his privileges, he is never a show-off and forget his roots. He can hang loose at the age of 72, but he rather choose to work unflaggengly. Jeez, if your complaint is that he was betting on money , Needless to reach out door to door like a salesman. If you had watched the movie Ranbir Singhs rocket Singh knows the struggle of reaching out door to door..Unfortunately you guys got influenced by the mediocre movies. Never know he would relentlessly pursue the ideologies of dravidianism, inspite of being handed over everything on the plate. He is real and uncompromising on the ideologies of the dravidian politics unlike Mr Eps. When the lutiyan media and Center government plan to methodically whitewash our protest and struggles, i don't think AIADMK is the best option in 2026. - Sundaresan Thankappan 

When I think of Mr Vijay, I think of Bob Seger's "Like a rock song". Though it might sound too much, it is a sort of rhetoric statement wherein i was trying to highlight his willpower to stand alone in a maiden election against the dravidian giants. And it was known to him that there might be a personal attack, mudslinging, religious exclusion, superiority, monopolizing and demoralizing media power. Still his relentless pursuit makes someone like me wonder where and how he was getting that confident. It was not easy to win the hearts of Malayali's Mr Karunanidhi, MK Stalin and Kamal Hassan carved a name for themselves in the God's own country.  And it is only Mr Vijay after all of them from Tamilnadu. No doubt AIADMK-BJP alliance is formed out of vested interest and not because they like each other's. In fact, even AIADMK is aware of the trepedition. And it was only because of this very alliance, AIADMK is eschewing TVK, VCK and even some of the muslim leagues. He is the most successful actor in Kollywood at the moment and his desire to serve the people of Tamilnadu made him to take the hard choice of embarking into politics. As a malayali , i can vouch for his popularity in kerala. Even the district like Kasaragod, which is in the border of mangalore too is crammed with so much fans of him. In fact when I went to vadakara in Calicut for a campus drive, all they asked was how far is neelangarai from your home cheata. And they see him as a family. It is a fait accompli and we can't stay in a rut, single out and accuse the government. Its time to move on and ensure that there won't be any such incident in the future. And it is reassuring to see our Honourable CM is shouldering the blame and committing to take action against the perpetrators. And CM has swiftly taken action. In fact, he went a step further and extended apologises to the bereaved family.  Atleast, he has the humanity and courtesy, which other leaders in the past didn't have. Still we are not able to move on from the visuals of the brutal onslaught of a 27 year old temporary security guard of Madapuram Kalliamman temple in Tirupuvanam, Sivagangai dist. And the police version to the incident is that he had seizure and collapsed. There is no safety for the common man in this nation as a whole. Would the policemen have acted the same way, had the accused had an influential background? And we presume that there is no value for the life of poor in this state. We are in a nation where the perpetrators, proven guilty of Murder, enjoys their time out on bail. Conversely, here is a poor youngster, just on suspicious basis, taken into an illegal custody and without filing FIR, beaten to death. Who had given the order to execute such a ferocity in broadlight? It could've not taken place without the influence of a top rank officer.  And we have been witnessing so many such cases, irrespective of the government in power -most of the victims were poor and helpless....

The heinous crime against a poor security guard of Madapuram kaliamman temple in Tirupuvanam, Sivagangai dist has left the nation shell-shocked. By the by, don't refer it as a custodial death, it is a gruesome murder in broad-light.  Still not able to come to terms that an innocent life was taken away by a gang of policemen,  just because of a spurious charges of purloining gold from the devotees. Even if he had commited a murder, An inquiry  should have been conducted, under gone a trial and awarded a punishment based on the evidence gathered and thats how all the cases are investigated in India. And the very first time we are witnessing an incident where an young security guard picked up by the police for a false accusation and without filing any FIR, dilly dallying him around in a convoy to an abandoned place and beating him to death.  It is an open and shut case and i am not sure why there is a need for two days to submit the report.  And this is not the fir...

The disturbing visuals of police brutally beating up the victim Mr Ajit Kumar melts even the cold hearted soul and also the barbaric attack strikes fear into the hearts of the common man of the state. Just to recall that the deceased was suspected to have stolen the missing golds of the devotees and there was no evidence to it and without filing a complaint, based on the verbal allegation, they had taken him around in the police van to a forsaken place and beaten up brutally to death. As a common man, we wonder, if everyone starts to take law into their hand ,  what is the use of the Judicicial system in our country? And What if he was an innocent and not committed the offence? Can they bring him back to life and Isn't the government answerable?
